Jenny Dai - Small Steps, Bright Hearts
Jenny Dai, as a vice president at One People One Cosmos, spent her summer in the highlands of Tibet, surrounded by wind, sun, and silence, helping a small community in quiet, meaningful ways.
Each morning, she joined local volunteers to distribute simple but vital supplies — eye drops, sunglasses, pain relievers — to elders who had lived their whole lives without access to basic care. For many, it was the first time anyone had explained how to protect their eyes from the mountain sun.
In the afternoons, Jenny turned her focus to joy. She led art sessions where children drew what happiness meant to them — their families, the endless blue sky, the mountains that framed their world. Laughter filled the courtyard, blending with the wind.
One night, when the power went out, Jenny gathered the children and turned the blackout into a lesson in creativity. Using old tin cans and burins, they carved tiny holes, then placed candles inside. Soon, flickering lights danced across the walls — small stars born from a moment of darkness.
For Jenny, it wasn’t just about health or art. It was about connection — reminding everyone, including herself, that even in the most remote places, light can be created, and shared.
At One People One Cosmos, we believe that every act of compassion — no matter how small — can spark a universe of change.
