As a science community, at OPOC, we believe that science transcends all borders. We wish to pass and communicate our knowledge of astronomy to anyone and everyone, regardless of race, gender, age, and economic status. Science and the passing of the scientific knowledge transcends these physical boundaries our community possess today.
Equal Education for Everyone
Education is a free and equal right for everyone, and yet millions of underprivileged students do not get the education they deserve. We wish to provide free opportunities for these underprivileged and unequally situated students to learn and explore the depth of space.
Contributing to the Community
OPOC strives to contribute to the international scientific community by promoting research and cultivating citizen scientists. Our members participate together in Center for Astrophysics (CfA) - Harvard & Smithsonian lectures and virtual public Observatory Night series events live streamed to Facebook and YouTube channels.
